AMBASSADOR OF MONGOLIA TO THE KINGDOM OF DENMARK PRESENTS OFFICIAL SEAL TO HONORARY CONSUL
On 8 September 2026, H.E. Mr. Ts.Munkh-Ulzii, Ambassador of Mongolia to the Kingdom of Denmark, held a meeting with Mr. Jørgen Kristen Ringgaard, Honorary Consul of Mongolia in the city of Copenhagen, Kingdom of Denmark. During the meeting, the sides signed a cooperation agreement and the Ambassador presented the official seal of the Honorary Consul.
During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on opportunities and priority areas for further expanding and developing Mongolia-Denmark relations and cooperation, as well as discussed in detail the activities and initiatives planned for implementation in the coming years.
Ambassador Ts. Munkh-Ulzii requested Honorary Consul Jørgen Ringgaard to pay particular attention to protecting the legitimate rights and interests of Mongolian citizens residing in Denmark and to providing them with relevant support and assistance. He also expressed the Embassy’s readiness to provide all necessary support and to work closely with the Honorary Consul. Honorary Consul Jørgen Ringgaard expressed his commitment to actively promoting trade, investment and business cooperation between Mongolia and Denmark, strengthening people-to-people ties, and promoting Mongolia in Denmark.
Mr. Ringgaard has maintained close and continuous ties with Mongolia since he began working in Mongolia in 1995 under the “Free Press” project of the Danish International Development Agency. He has more than 26 years of experience working with media organizations in around 20 countries and is currently an active member of the Denmark-Mongolia Society. He also works to promote and expand cooperation between Mongolian and Danish scholars, researchers and institutions in the fields of archaeology and anthropology.
In recognition of his contribution to the development of Mongolia-Denmark relations and cooperation, Mr. Ringgaard was awarded the “Friendship Medal” in 1997 and the “Order of the Polar Star” in 2021.
